I want these traits to be evident in my life. I’m sure you do too! Today we’ll see the meekness Jesus displayed throughout His lifetime. Our attention will be drawn to some amazing promises associated with meekness. And because of the work of the Holy Spirit within us, we’ll be reminded that we, too, can exhibit this desirable fruit.
Not Your Ordinary Hero
Who is your hero? Is there someone in your life you look to as a role model? Chances are, your hero probably doesn’t possess super-powers or wear a red cape. People that make me sit up and take notice are those who choose to serve rather than be served. Those who treat others with respect even when they’re treated poorly.
What Are You Afraid Of?
Do you remember the last time you were afraid or apprehensive about something? A couple weeks ago I had the privilege of speaking at a women’s conference. If you’re anything like me, the anticipation leading up to the presentation is ten times worse than actually speaking.
Pride
Pride is a dangerous thing. Sometimes I don’t realize its hold on me until it’s too late. I remember being asked to speak for a women’s group a couple years ago. Lots of preparation and prayer went into it. I really wanted the Lord to use me to encourage these ladies.
